Certified knowledge in explosion protection – according to the industry's highest standards
As part of our competence development, JOKRAB has personnel who have completed the "Explosion Protection – Basics" training at Pepperl Fuchs, one of the world's leading players in Ex-safe automation.
What does the certificate mean?
The training provides a solid foundation in both the physical and legal aspects of explosion protection. It includes:
- Classification and risk analysis of hazardous environments
- Protection methods such as Ex d (flameproof enclosure), Ex e (increased protection) and Ex i (intrinsic safety)
- ATEX and IECEx standards and product selection according to zone classification
- Practical understanding of design, installation and operation in Ex-classified environments
Why is it important for our customers?
Explosion-proof automation is not just a requirement in many industries – it is a basic requirement for protecting people, facilities and production flows. By combining technical knowledge with documented skills in Ex protection, we at JOKRAB can offer:
- The right choice of components and protection methods – already in the design phase
- Accurate documentation and labeling – facilitating inspections
- Safe installations – according to current international standards
Our expertise in explosion protection is particularly valuable in industries such as Offshore & Oil Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry and VA (Water & Sewage) where Ex-rated automation is a requirement.
UL 508A MTR – Certification for industrial control cabinets with safety and quality
Holding the "Qualified Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) – UL 508A MTR Qualification Examination v3" certificate, issued by UL Solutions, means that one has in-depth competence in the standard for the design and manufacture of industrial control cabinets according to UL 508A. The program ensures that the manufacturer has personnel who are qualified to interpret and apply the standard's rules for safety, component selection, short-circuit rating and encapsulation of control panels
What does that mean in practical terms?
- Tough skill level: Certification requires the individual to pass an online exam with at least 80% correct. The exam is open book and available through UL's Learning Management System. The certificate is valid for three years, after which recertification is required.
- Quality Assurance: By having an MTR in place, the manufacturer demonstrates that the panels comply with standards and safety requirements – which creates confidence with UL, regulatory authorities and customers.
Why is this important for JOKRAB and our customers?
- Meets strict standard requirements: We ensure that our control cabinets comply with UL 508A, including protection against electrical hazards, corrosion and overheating.
- Reduces risk of errors and delays: An MTR is a quality reinforcement team, which can check and approve panels already in the design and construction phase.
- Strengthens credibility: Having certified MTR competence means that the customer gets a supplier with formal knowledge of UL standards – which promotes safety, delivery reliability and inspection.
Quality at every level – according to the principles of ISO 9000
JOKRAB works according to the guidelines of the ISO 9000 series, the internationally recognized standard for quality management. This means that we have a structured and constantly reviewed process for how we plan, implement, follow up and improve our assignments – whether it concerns design, automation or documentation.
What does this mean for our customers?
- Predictable quality in every delivery: Our projects follow clearly defined processes and internal checklists, ensuring consistent and high quality regardless of the project's size or complexity.
- Traceability and structure: We document every step – from quotation to deployment – with clear division of responsibilities, version management and quality checks.
- Continuous Improvement: We continuously evaluate our work methods through customer feedback, internal audits and improvement programs. Quality is not a goal – it is an ongoing process.
Quality is not just a document – it is a culture
For JOKRAB, ISO 9000 is not just about meeting requirements on paper. It is a practical framework that permeates our entire business – from first customer contact to a complete automation system with full documentation. Our quality work creates security for both us and our customers.
